Everyone can recognize the natural beauty of flowers, but Kathleen will show you how to take that to the next level. Kathleen will cover everything you need to know to create gorgeous flower portraits. She will show you the equipment and techniques she uses…she has no secrets! You’ll learn how to choose and isolate a subject and how to simplify your compositions to see beyond the obvious. Kathleen will show you how to use natural light to really bring out the beauty of a flower, and how she works around troublesome backgrounds. You will learn easy techniques to create photos you can be proud of.

Kathleen Clemons is an award-winning photographer, instructor, speaker, and workshop leader from the coast of Maine. Primarily a nature photographer, Kathleen is known for her creative use of natural light and unique compositions. Lensbaby has named her the "Georgia O' Keeffe of Lensbaby Flower Photography” and her work is represented worldwide by Corbis, Getty Images, and several other agencies. With a background in education and a passion for both photography and teaching, Kathleen loves to teach others how to improve their photography skills. This workshop is for anyone who is comfortable shooting on manual and wants to create some knock-out images!

  • 9:00 – 9:30  — Check in at THEIA Studios
  • 9:30 – Noon(ish)  — Fine Art Flower Photography Presentation
  • Noon –  Catered lunch by Boston Chowda!
  • 1:00 – 3:30 (ish) — Live learning event, off-site, at Rogers Spring Hill Farm!
  • 4:00 – 4:30 p.m. …Back at THEIA for a casual review, Q&A with Kathleen, give-aways.

After the workshop, you'll have access to a private Facebook page where Kathleen will discuss & critique workshop images you post.
